Immediately appealed by the hip hop culture in the 80's, the identical Portuguese twins began break dancing, then soon moved on to expressing their aesthetic talents in form of graffiti in 1987. Integrating influences of Hip Hop, New York style, and their Brazilian culture into their graffiti, Os Gêmeos have become a main influence in the local scene.
Os Gêmeos most recent piece is the Houston Street Wall in New York. The walls' original art was done by Keith Herring, Kenny Sharf, LA II, A-One, and Daze in 1983. Later recreated with a dedication to Keith Herring by LA II. Now with 10 days of work, the mural has once again been washed out and redesigned, continuing to exhibit street art at it's best.
