After six successful years in New York in the nineties, he re-located to his hometown Stockholm in 2001. During his New York career, John was known for a highly distinctive and personal style of photography, full of energy and with interesting, often radical angles, largely influenced by punk music and other sub-cultural phenomena. In later years, his style has become more mature, subtle and sophisticated, more close and intimate with his models, oriented to beauty as well as fashion.
